Nearly 2,000 students and educators participated in the Bowling Green Area Chamber's SCK LAUNCH Experience, a hands-on career expo for eighth graders held each year in Bowling Green.
Students had the opportunity to interact with local businesses and were able to explore many of the career paths available in South Central Kentucky through interactive exhibits that showcased opportunities in our region’s high-growth, high-demand sectors.
According to Superintendent Rob Clayton, "The SCK Launch Experience is a unique opportunity for our middle school students to engage with community leaders through a fun and interactive career exploration experience. Students will become more knowledgeable about the diverse range of career paths that exist throughout our region, and they will walk away from this event with a better understanding of the necessary skillsets required within each career sector. Equitable opportunities are at the forefront of our commitment to families, and experiences such as SCK LAUNCH allow us to reach all our kids through a practical experience. I want to thank the Chamber and their partners for investing their resources in our students, our community, and our future."
Eighth graders from Drakes Creek, Henry F. Moss, South Warren, and Warren East Middle Schools all participated from the Warren County Schools District.
