Warren Elementary now has a new type of vending machine! It’s a book vending machine to encourage a love of reading.
Brandy Adams, the Library Media Specialist and Technology Coordinator, says she’s excited to get books into the children’s hands and to encourage them to read!
Warren Elementary is a Leader in Me school and the students earn LEAD tickets from the staff. At the end of each month, they hold a drawing where five intermediate students and five primary students receive tokens to select a book. They also have "Leader of the Week" at Warren Elementary and two primary and two intermediate students from that group will receive a book.
Around 48 books a month will leave the vending machine for students who are living the Leader in Me Habits, engaging in learning, always considering others, and demonstrating respect.
